"That All Are Created Equal"

The principle that “all men are created equal” holds little weight in a society where equality is measured by political and economic power. Education is the key to constructing or deconstructing this power and fostering true equality.

The United Black Family Scholarship Foundation (UBFSF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the social and economic conditions of underserved communities. Established on May 22, 2014, in the State of Oklahoma, UBFSF works to empower individuals through education, advocacy, and community-driven initiatives that create lasting change.

Our Mission

UBFSF Bilal Tahlib Ali

Our mission is to foster a culture of higher learning within underserved communities. We promote education not merely as “credentialism,” but as a means of empowering individuals to think critically, act creatively, and participate in the transformation of their world.

We place a strong emphasis on literacy, ensuring that individuals understand the institutional and cultural forces that shape their beliefs, behaviors, and values. By equipping communities with knowledge and awareness, we empower them to challenge and change the systems that perpetuate inequality.

Our approach addresses the root causes of ignorance, from the streets to the schoolhouse, by confronting the issues that hinder progress and promoting solutions that drive lasting change.
