HR Development Internship
Transform System-Impacted Communities Through Human Resources
The HR Development Internship Program at UBFSF provides a unique opportunity for student volunteers to work directly with our incarcerated founder. This transformative experience allows participants to collaborate on initiatives that mobilize, educate, and develop effective HR practices aimed at organizing and empowering underrepresented communities.
This program is ideal for students passionate about addressing systemic issues such as mass incarceration, police brutality, and housing discrimination, while gaining hands-on experience in human resources and nonprofit management.

Program Objectives
Participants will gain experience in:
- Creating and managing HR infrastructure.
- Developing HR policies and procedures.
- Designing volunteer recruitment and retention strategies.
- Implementing training programs for volunteers and staff.
Establishing inclusive and effective hiring practices.
